Residents of different areas of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) were surprised on Thursday morning when a hailstorm occurred, which, fortunately, lasted no more than five minutes. According to the Argentine News Agency, the phenomenon did not cause major damage or incidents in the affected areas, which included the Buenos Aires Province localities of Pilar, Vicente López, José C. Paz and La Matanza, and Buenos Aires neighborhoods of Palermo, San Telmo, Recoleta, Barracas and the Microcenter area. In some of the mentioned areas, in addition to hail, there were strong storms. Although a more pleasant climate with temperatures not exceeding 30 degrees is expected in the coming days, the National Meteorological Service warns of the likelihood of wind gusts and storms for Sunday.
